Zhang JieMin , Young talented Chinese conductor.

She conducted regularly La Fenice Opera House in Venice, San Carlo Opera House in Naples, Verdi Opera House in Salerno, Toulouse National Symphony Orchestra, Latvia National Opera House, Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, China Philharmonic, China National Opera House, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Shanghai Opera House, Shanghai Philharmonic, Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra.

In February 2006, Jiemin Conducted closing concert in La biennale for Venice Carnival with Venice Opera House-La Fenice, in September, she conducted many concerts in Italy for different music festivals with La fenice orchestra.

In June 2007, JieMin conducted La Traviata in Vistelegre Palace (sports stadium) in Madrid with La Fenice production in Spain.

As a only women conduct appears in the Historic Italian opera house to conduct Operas both in La Fenice ,San Carlo and Verdi Theater, In July, Cavalarie Rusticana with San Carlo Opera House in Naples, in December , “Turandot” in La Fenice Opera House for the closing opera season. And 2008 new year’s concert with Teatro di Verdi in Salerno.

She will conduct Symphonica di Roma in May 2008, and in Jun2008, she will conduct the word premiere new opera “white snake” in La Fenice.

She conducted in many music festivals such as Beijing International music festival. International Music Festivals in Italy, Macao international Music Festival, Shanghai International Music Festival…

Jiemin started to learn piano and percussion at age of 7, composition at 15 and conducting at 17. she graduated from Shanghai Music Conservatory and majored in conducting.

In 1995, she became the resident conductor of Shanghai Opera house and Shanghai Youth Orchestra.

In 1998 she became assistant of Maestro Zubin Mehta at Florence Opera House-Maggio Musicale . In September, she assisted Maestro Mehta in Beijing for his world-renowned production of “Turandot” in the Forbidden City.

She made her debut in opera “Carmen” at age of 26, her repertoires in opera are Verdi, Puccini, Rossini, Donizetti, Gounod, Mozart and others

In 2001-2002, she was invited by French conductor Maestro Michelle Plason, working as an assistant conductor with Toulouse Symphony Orchestra in France.

Since 2002, she has been working with Shanghai Symphony Ochestra.

She also regularly worked with Chinese composer Tandun for his music and opera.
